Default XC90 Outer Vent Detached

Unfortunate incident with a phone holder ended in the fascia detaching itself. Cannot seems to put it back together... is there a knack to this?? Can find examples of the centre console vents, but not the outers.

Any guidance / suggestions welcome!

Ta.

Also interested in this, driver's side vent has come loose and I can't get it back in properly.

I can see clips but cannot get them to "catch". Tried some adhesive but no luck.

Follow the Haynes manual method, "re-assembly is the reverse of dis-assembly" so place in position and hit it with the phone holder.

The vent (still on place) and the trim (removed) are a single component.

To repair this I would remove the vent; there is a lug that you need to push in that is just behind the vanes in one of the top corners. Use a small Allen key to push it in and the vent then just pulls out. You might need a torch to find the lug.

Once it's out I would try to glue the trim back on to the vent. The component should then go back as one piece.

It's all done from the front. Removing the glovebox won't give you any access.
