Default XC90 oil leak front bumper…intercooler??

B3D2018B-FC20-4C55-BA08-19D22139D184.jpeg

Hi all.
I’ve done a quick search and I think I’ve diagnosed as intercooler leaking. Would this be a classic sign of an intercooler on its last legs leak on a 2005 XC90.

Many thanks

Yep it’s black and all the way across the silver bit of the bumper.

That is a classic symptom of a burst intercooler.
Under heavy throttle it may lack power of even go to limp mode for a spell.
It will throw a code saying turbo faulty flow.
You can't see the intercooler as it's sandwiched between the rad and air con.
A smoke tester will find the fault fairly quickly.
You can make one using a oil lamp wick and baby oil with some resistance wire connected to a 12v battery. Search online. Plenty of help making one.
Failing that remove the intercooler to see.
Good luck
