Default Sat Nav Update/install

I'm trying to update/install the software to my Sat Nav (2013 V70). by USB stick. I have downloaded the files onto a 32Gb stick which is formatted to Fat32 and had it connected for 3 hours but it's not completed. How long does it normally take and can it be "stopped & Resumed" or does it have to be all in one load?
Thanks

I've done this before and it was possible to stop and resume, and it took forever, and now it won't load the latest and last to ever be released upgrade at all. Sadly, it never was a very good sat nav system in any respect but it was factory integrated so I have tried to use it rather than stick a better one on the windscreen.

Just leave the USB stick in, and wait until the car tells you it has finished. You can stop and start the car and do multiple journeys until it does. It took mine about 3-4 hours over about 6 or 7 journeys of variable length. (Might have been longer, I really can't recall that accurately as I did it a while ago.)

It does NOT have to be done in one single session.
