I calculated it out at 550 miles range using both tanks combined. The majority of the time I was running in gas. The car would start up in petrol and then three minutes down the road it’d switch to gas. Ten quid of petrol would last a month or so. It was only in Ireland where LPG was few and far between we’d be running on full fat fuel. But that was with tanking up on gas before we hit the ferry. The only niggle was having space saver in the boot but saying that, the boot in an S60 was cavernous anyway so no big issue. Shame LPG never took off.

I can get over 35mpg out of my V40 T5, and have seen 40 while descending several thousand feet down an alpine pass. Both the 'fuel range' and MPG displays will show over 500 miles in range - and mine's got the jolly old fuel-guzzling turbos!

Just coming to the end of my mpg measuring fill up and it shows for some very interesting results. The trip computer is actually underestimating efficiency. It's showing an average of 30mpg whilst I've actually achieved 34mpg. Got to say, I wasn't expecting that!

Anyway, I'll keep an assessment going to see what figures I get moving forward. Obviously driving for absolute economy isn't always easy. With this engine you do need to sometimes to go through the revs and I have been missing the tune it puts out when you press that pedal down. I suspect economy will drop drastically if driven with more enthusiasm. But I guess for now, I'll just drive for economy and only put my foot down when needed.

Watch trying the beat the trip meter doesn’t become an addiction…. I’m constantly checking mine weekly, I’m obsessed 😂😂😂 Great stuff anyway, that’s pretty respectable by any measure
