v70 2.0l petrol 2005 gearbox needed
as above - having no luck locally (belfast) & I assume only the box out of a 2.0l petrol will do?
apologies - I'm not a mechanic or volvo expert. so I'm still trying to work out if it's financially viable to replace the box as I don't really want to scrap the big bus since it has lots of mot & I've spent a fair bit replacing most wear & tear suspension /braking bits quite recently. any advice welcome. cheers 👍 |

Manual or Auto?
If manual you need the Volvo M56 Gearbox (5 speed) which was fitted to the 2.4 non turbo, 2.0T, 2.4T, 2.5T and 2.3 T5. If auto then the you're looking for the AW55-50 (5 speed auto). Best to go for same model year if possible. 2.4 non turbo V70s are very common compared to 2.0T. Last edited by T5R92011; Jun 30th, 2022 at 20:39. |

it's a blue Ocean Race btw, which I assume makes no difference mechanically. & he seemed to think going by the miles (240 odd k kilometres) that it had had a clutch so may not need another one which makes the repair a bit more viable financially! had to get a passat oil burner to keep me mobile but its not as nice a car in any way to the v70. thanks for the reply. |
