Alarm reset?
Can the alarm be reset on a 55 plate V70 D5 6 speed manual?
I posted another thread about my keyfob stopping working even though the fob has a new battery and been tested as working so presume it’s a receiver fault or something The only other thing I can think of is I tested the auto wipers by pouring a watering can of water over the sensor on the top of the windscreen The fob problem seemed to have started after this |

the receiver is in the UEM (upper elec. module, aka reversing mirror)
I don't know if this affects the alarm as such but the reset for that module is described in post #3 of this thread: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=40932 of course the procedure requires the use of the fob so how far you'll get with that I don't know someone with more knowledge may be along shortly.. |

Have you ever had the windscreen replaced? It's possible it hasn't been sealed properly at the top, and water has tracked its way down into the UEM.
Have you tried disconnecting the car battery for 30ish mins?

Doh.. Well at least it was an easy one
Id probably stick a tiny wedge of folded paper underneath to stop it happening again |
