Isn't all this negative publicity just a little distasteful? It's almost as though we are trying to outdo one another at just how badly we have been treated. I've no axe to grind as we insure with another company who specialise in policies for the more mature driver. We consider them to be an excellent policy at a reasonable price and, being of a certain age, we have no intention of changing ships in mid-stream.
I've always believed that if one does not have anything positive to say about something, one might perhaps be better advised to say nothing. I find this thread rather depressing reading - we can do better than this, can't we? Regards, John.

If it saves people wasting their time what's the harm. Out of curiosity a few years back I used their website to get a quote. Well ok to do half the work because they don't quote online. When they called back I went through every single question I'd already answered online must have wasted at least 45 mins to get a truly rubbish quote.

Hi.
Unfortunately we can't always be competitive on every quotation we offer I'm afraid. I only wish we could as it would make my life a lot easier! Regards, Dan. |

It’s certainly nothing personal however from my experience, and it would seem the experience of most here AF are actually rarely the cheapest which is unfortunate. |

With insurance, as with most things in life, the quality remains long after the cost is forgotten. Personally, we always look for value for money in all things, which is rarely, if ever, also the cheapest option available. And with insurance, especially, the most expensive is likely to be the one that you have not got.
Regards, John.

The chap I spoke to wanted me to accept the quote and cancel it if I got a better one. That smacks of commission at all costs. This is only my experience and has no other value when judging. |

Adrian Flux is the only car insurance company (they aren't really a broker) with a Facebook page for digruntled customers.

With respect to AF,
I doubt Insurers or brokers value loyalty anymore, or even less now. I've used flux' a handful of times, with the initial bait of being the cheapest around. Then the MASSIVE hike at renewal. With my requirement on one of my dailies for specialist insurance, Flux' tried for me, but couldn't get the quote below a grand. I'm 38, full house of no claims, and required to pay over a grand? Yet a broker based not far from me, Managed to be nearly £500 cheaper than Flux. And this is with the same insurance company that gave me the policy! Explain that!? I appreciate you can't accommodate all. And I also appreciate the few years service you provided me. But on renewals? I severely dislike the lack of compassion by your CSR's on trying to get a better price, Because the "Bait and rip off a year later" tactic, definitely leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I pledge no loyalty to any insurer now, After an 11 year stint with Chris Knott from this forum. I learnt my lesson. Whoever is cheapest on my volvo, wins. My specialist driver? Same, but I have a much narrower window to choose from. I hate to say, you would be excluded from. |

It would be nice Dan From Flux if you were cheapest once maybe and if a good number of your 'brokered' companies weren't actually owned by David James (Alan?) Flux and woman. It would also be nice if you didn't change peoples policies without telling them and if you weren't perfectly happy to leave fully comp, any car plus recovery customers out in the snow and ice to fend for themselvess because they couldn't find their wallet to pay David James's Recovery Ransom (Hadleigh). I can't be bothered going into how I was further ripped of by Flux but it was ferocious. I rarely visit this site now because I don't want anything to do with a site that is paid handsomely to advertise criminal organisation like Flux.
