Android Auto Error Message
Hi
Had a very odd error message when I plugged my phone into the car this morning and wondered if anyone else has seen the same message. The error message said 'Stand still to Continue' which is a little odd considering by the time Android Auto has initiailised itself and the message came up I was at the end of the road. I tried unplugging and plugging back in but still got the message. Eventually I restarted the phone when I could stop and all seeme fine. Paul

Hi. I did use android auto today and there was nothing wrong with it. From what you explained, the problem has been with you phone and nothing to do with the car. |

Hi, I only assumed it was the car as the message cam up on the Sensus screen rather than the phone itself. I have a Pixel2 XL which is coming up to 3 years old and has been no trouble (fate tempted now) since I have had it.

If the car's software hasn't been changed I don't see how it can have any influence of the error you have!? And this is confirmed with your statement, that after restarting the phone, everything has backed to normal. |

I have also occasionally had this for about a month now. On the occasions it occurs I can't think of any obviously different circumstances causing it to happen, apart from whether it is related to the Android 10 update. Although I'm sure it started some time after the update. I've tried rebooting the phone, which seems to work, but then as the problem seems to happen randomly, it may not have been a problem on those occasions anyway.

Hi Paul
I'm afraid it was one of those comes and goes problems. Not sure what initiates it. I have had it again a handful of times since my original post a couple of years ago with a different phone (Pixel 6 Pro). Maybe its a Pixel phone issue? No actual solution, other than unplug and plug in again a few times.
