Default 1800S Gauge Calibration

I need to get the Oil/Water gauge and the Rev counter recalibrated as part of my 1800S rebuild. Bearing in mind how easy it is to distort/destroy the casings of these instruments when trying to open them up, has anyone got any recommendations for a UK company who has done a good job on theirs in the past? Cheers.

...or you could simply remove the sensing bulbs from their respective locations and immerse them in boiling water, and check the indicated temp...

...for Rev counter cal, see: http://www.sw-em.com/Smith's%20Tacho...of_Smiths_Tach as I recall, he presents a manner for checking cal in the video.

Cheers

I have already ascertained that my gauges are wildly inaccurate. I also have a million and one other jobs to be getting on with on this restoration, so I am not minded to attempt the repair myself as I can better spend my time on completing other tasks, hence my question. Thank you.

Try Robert Fenn, Vernham Dean nr Andover, SP11 OLP. 9763 759. He is a very good auto clock/instruments repairer.

Nisonger has a good reputation.

https://www.nisonger.com/

Unfortunately, they seem to be out of the repair business. However, they do seem to be in the OEM replacement business. Have a look at their continuation gauges for British cars. You might find what you need. Not inexpensive and not so convenient since they are on the west side of the Atlantic. But, if you can't find anybody local ......
