F&R Brake Pads for D5 2.4 Diesel S80 premium
Hi,
Can anyone advise on brake pads for a D5 2.4 59 plate S80 (Blacktop engine) . I'm off to a mechanics for a service so thought id provide my own front and Rear pads to save some cash. The problem is in the past Ive bought some before from Eurocarparts by putting my reg in.. some fit and some don't so I thought Id ask for recommendations for specific front and rear pads that fit. Thanks |

Your Volvo main dealer will be able to supply the correct pads based on your VIN. Why bother shopping around for something which may not fit.
Edit: For an example: When I replaced all the brake pads on my daughter’s 2011 XC70 D5 I bought the pads from my local main dealer. I noticed that the box of four rear pads had a pair of one part no. and a pair of a different part no. although they did appear to be very similar to each other. I queried this with my dealer and was advised that one of the part nos. should be fitted to the calipers as the inner pads and the other part no. as the outer pads. Would a factor have been able to provide this information ?

For example, EBC sintered pads are both better and cheaper than the Harley Davidson OEM equivalents. |

There are tens of cheaper options, but very few, if any better value.
