There was some talk on my last post where we were wondering why there is more dust on the rear than the front.

maybe it's because of the DSTC, or maybe it use the rear first, then the front.

On a motorcycle, you are supposed to use the rear then the front to limit the natural front end diving.

Maybe volvo is using this also.

Volvo prioritises the rear brakes.

Yeah but at this point I am sure they are binding. I did a 10 mile drive along straight roads (so no potential stability control going on), with not one single application of the brakes... even let the car roll to a stop at the end of the drive.

The front brakes were stone cold, the rears however were warm.

Must be a very minor case of binding, hence the low amount of heat being generated, but still a waste of pads/discs/fuel!
