Default Engine mount recall

Hello,

Last week I went to my local volvo dealer with my 8 month old S40 D5 because it was making a horrible metallic squeeking sound when accelerating.

Dealer tells me that it's the engine mounts that are a fault and it's subject to a re-call. Parts wont be available for at least another month. In the meantime, my engine is sounding worse each day.

Anybody know more about this fault/recall? Do you think I should look for a replacement car in the meantime while I wait for the parts to become available? I'm worried I might be doing long term damage to a car I intend to keep for the next five years. Would I be unreasonable to request a replacement car for the next few weeks?

Has anybody else had their engine mounts give trouble or replaced?
