Just filled it up at Tesco with E5 Super Unleaded, showed I had 420 miles, got home has dropped to 387.

I’ve been going on the assumption I’d get about 360-390 miles out of a tank time will tell I guess! I pick it up tomorrow hope it still has half a tank of fuel to get it home!

For some car/engine combos this is true - others not. Many of the Polestar remaps add power - power costs fuel. It probably makes no difference on the rolling road during an official economy run where full throttle isn't used.

Pick a model and turn the "professional info" option on and you'll see plenty of examples of Polestar power increases - some trivial - other significant.

Picked XC90 but could be any model...

To be honest fuel economy hasn’t been too bad. I’m averaging around 35mpg. Usually get 20mpg on short runs into town but commute to work and longer runs is usually mid to high 30s.

Was running it on bog standard supermarket fuel and tried to see how many miles I’d get out of a tank. I filled up with 50 miles left and 345 miles done since the last brim. I reckon around 380 miles is reasonable. That’s driving with eco mode on all the time but still having the odd foot down and twisty road moment!

Running it on standard Esso at the moment. I know some say they get better mpg with premium stuff but not sure if it’s worth the extra.

My V60 T5 has averaged around 35mpg since I have had it. I have had it up to low 40s on long runs, but obviously short runs are far less. I seldom use anything other than comfort. Only tried eco once or twice. I started with standard Tesco but changed to Momentum early on. The engine seems to run much smoother and appears to be more economical. Whether the extra cost is justified, I'm not sure. It's difficult to do an accurate assessment.

I must admit I only use eco because I was so cautious of the mpg when I got it. I’ve got used to it now to be honest as I’ve set up and individual drive mode with all eco settings but stop/start turned off so in just have to change one thing when I get in it!

I’m always worried about supermarket fuel is the only trouble! I’ll have to try some premium and see how it changes things
