Default A/C kompressor

Hi guys.

My VIDA laptop died rip. I dont have much time to see what's wrong and less time to install it with many many steps on my Win11 pro.

Can somebody explain me how to change ac compressor on my V70 '08 D5? I bought new OEM for 100€ or 90 pounds. Guy dont need it so I bought it. My makes some griding noise so it's time to change it

Basically I need to disconnect two lines, but I' m worried about pressure in it and freon.

Other should be easy: belt remove and few long screws?

You need to have the AC system de gassed by a professional using a machine or if your old school a bottle. Then it is safe to open the system and replace the compressor. You will want to replace the o rings as well. when working on AC systems I normally coat the orings in a bit of AC oil to aid sealing.

Then once you have the compressor replaced the system then needs to be vacuumed as you have had it open to the damp air. Normally 45mins to an 1hr is sufficient. Again a machine is needed for this. The system is then good to be filled with the correct type of gas for your system along with lubricating oil.

So in short you can do the spanner work yourself but you will need to visit someone with the right tools and knowledge on AC. Don’t use a do it yourself can what ever you do.

I should also add it is against the law to knowingly release refrigerant gas to the atmosphere. Not that that has ever stopped anyone from doing so.

Thank you for answering my question

So I can pay somebody do it (would br expencive in swiss) or go somewhere near me to take gas out, then to change alone (is it difficult?) and go for making pressure again and refuel gas
