Default How many days out before service indicator shows on dash?

Hi all,

Hopefully someone knows! At what point will the car flag on the dashboard that a service is due?

I know within the settings you can see the countdown.
The reason I ask, my XC60 is a leased vehicle. It is due back V shortly (within the next 2 months) and I think right now it's showing 45 days before service.

Given the cost for a 3rd year service, it'd be a LOT cheaper to hand the car back early, paying the early termination fee (currently on 25% of outstanding rentals balance!) and not having to service. Compared to servicing it and then handing back 2-3 weeks later.

However... if it flashes up on the dashboard that a service is due, I'll need to get it done. I'd assume it maybe starts warning you 30 days out? Does anyone know specifically when it'll pop up?

Thanks

I thought it was 30 days, but you could be right with 45. I know it displays well in advance so you have to acknowledge it every day until its done! I gave my last lease car back just as it was coming up to its 3rd service with no issues. You may want to perform the service reset to stop it popping up on the dash so its less obvious

As said above it is usually 30 days
I returned our leased v40 last year with the service light on, they accepted it no problem as it was not a fault light. Save yourself the cost of a service. If I remember correctly they will accept it up to 30 days over due

Thanks all.

The leasing company have stated that any lights on the dash (even showing service is due) they'd not accept the car on collection. Can't confirm if the delivery drivers would follow through on this.

If it's from 30 days out, timings work out perfectly! As of today on 45 days.

Aiming to get it collected next Friday (8 days). Which will mean no 3rd year service required, plus all four tyres are still originally and down to 3mm.
