Exhausting my knowledge, misfire issue on 1996 960 wagon.

All I can go on is that the plugs when I got the car were virtually new NGKs with a 0.9 gap, and the engine was misfiring. I swopped the plugs for Bosch ones with a 0.8mm gap, and the misfiring vanished. I didn't check the heat rating of the NGKs, and that could have affected the running. If I can find the plugs I saved, then I'll post the type number to ensure that they were suitable. I did do a bit of research, and informed opinion seems to agree that the NGKs should have a gap of 0.7mm because of the construction of the cathode.
