Detachable Tow Ball
I can't get my tow ball lock to go into the green zone.
The shaft will lock in place, but the shaft only comes out about 15mm and the lock is still showing red. Any clues here please? |

This is the "for sale" section, you will get a better response by posting in the XC90 General section.

I don't want to sound patronising but have you tried soaking it in some penetrating oil? I only say that because I had the same issue with mine. I was wrestling with it every time but after smothering it in some decent penetrant it freed up and was much easier to operate.
I also remove it when not in use now as it stops it from getting covered in grime and road salt which I think is what was contributing to the sticking of the mechanism inside. |

I've had this with corrosion in the back of the socket, cleaned the back of it up to allow it to insert properly and is usually OK if I jump on it
