Just bought one of these and just have couple of questions.
1. Bluetooth phone connected but can't seem to stream music.
2. How to update the sat nav?
3. Any issues with 2.4 diesel engines?

Thanks Guys!

Default 2009 questions

Hi

I have a MY2009 (built May 2009 so 14 years old this month)

Bluetooth only works for the phone connection. To stream music we have to connect our phone via a cable to the audio jack in the lidded container between the front seats.

My sat nav is not factory original so can't help there sorry

As regards the 2.4 diesels they're a reliable motor. If yours is MY2009 like mine then you will probably have the single turbo (136kW) version. The later versions built in 2009 (MY2010 ?) have the twin turbo motor which is about 10% more powerful (151kW) with better fuel economy.

The EGR system tends to gum up (twice in 160,000km with my one) and the swirl flaps need replacing which costs $$ if done by a garage who go by the book and replace the fuel injection pipes and injector clamps with new parts.
Motors can tend to leak from rocker cover at rear of motor, that gets fixed with a new gasket at the time the swirl flaps are done.

SatNav update discs from - https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/volvo-...2018-426-p.asp

Latest is 2018, so not that up to date, the discs fit in the unit under the spare wheel cover on the left side.
As it's not that up to date you quite often find yourself driving across a field! but for towns where nothing has changed for years I find it's quite accurate,
the newest disc allows for post code entry unlike the earlier ones.

Can the display unit where the heater controls are be updated from a 2011 or 12 model as it seems a bit more modern. Is it a case of straight swap plug and play?

It’s not as one is a Sensus based system and the other is not.

If you do have the aux socket You can stream via Bluetooth using a simple gadget from Amazon like this, but the steering wheel controls won’t work for next/back.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-R...ps%2C91&sr=8-5

Also check if your car has iPod connectivity, some did.
