No power, hunting between 1/2.5k rpm
My 2008 S60 D5 Acted weirdly a few weeks back, lost power under heavy load on a hill, engine off and back on all fine, then the other day made a loud noise and lost all power. Tickover is ok, and if i floor it 2500 rpm and above its fine but in between that it hunts up and down all over with zero power, can move it maybe 5 mph. Im getting the errors
Boost pressure sensor - signal too high Turbo control pressure too high Ive replaced the boost pressure sensor but the error didnt go. when i clear all errors its ok for the first 10 seconds then back to this. I thought turbo actuator but it can send the revs from 1000 up to 2000 with no change in the throttle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0u44CqNLkU

Hi the pressure is 14.3 so it should be good, ill take another look for damaged wiring, although boost pressure actuator is 83% while off, unsure if this is good or bad until i get the battery charged!

ok when you are driving the car can you log the boost pressure to see if it is over boosting,
with the boost pressure actuator at 83% does this change with the car running and revving it up, as the boost pressure actuator have been known to fail, Dave |

Sadly it can’t be driven weirdly it worked perfect today turned it off to move my wife’s car and…. Back to as before! Holding the pedal steady when it’s bouncing between 609-1500 rpm the actuator changes with the revs, pic attached. I don’t know if it’s causing it or wether it’s reacting to the engine
