Front Fender Flare mounting

Hello Friends,

Does anyone know, how the Fender Flare Trim is attached to the fender?
Are they mounted on the fender only with clips of with additional mounting tape?

I removed my fender flare for painting it and after a while, i see its not perfectly attached to the fender at the back.

I saw a diagram, but it only shows clips at the front of the fender flare.

Any help appreciated

This is mainly a UK forum and we would call this item the "wheel arch trim". I am sure there was a thread on here a while back which you might be able to find if you search on this term. If I remember correctly it had adhesive tape and clips but might be wrong.
