After £2500 trying to get my car sorted, I am just about to give up.
My 220K Coral Red V70R 2WD auto has killed me... Spark plug thread gone in cylinder 3 and a HG failure means it needs a new head.... Right after just doing the full timing belt kit, Volvo WP kit, aux belt and tensioner, 100A alternator and various new nuts/bolts from Volvo. Oh, and a Volvo expansion tank, do88 silicone tank hoses, coolant, NRF radiator, Hell-Behr heater core and a complete interior rebuild including new insulation and new carpet.... Volvo history until about 140k, then some independents, then owner self serviced. Both keys and fobs. 7 seater option Almost new 17" alloys and Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres New plugs (pointless) New dizzy cap, rotor, leads New top hose Volvo thermostat kit Spares including: Bosch cabin filter (air filter done) Bosch fuel filter Bosch and Volvo oil filters 10W40 Mannol Classic and a flush Borg and Beck coated front and rear brake discs Borg and Beck front and rear brake pads Pad fitting kits Various other spares Shame to break as it can make a nice car, but with it needing a new head, lacquer peel to bonnet/roof/OSF wing etc, I'm too deep and wish to bail. Anyone interested? Currently at my parents house on their drive in Stratford, London. |
