Central locking fault
My p3 V70 central locking works, but the remote function only works sometimes .... something to do with whether removing the key activates the system or not. Occasionally it does, but usually I am left to (un)lock the car manually. Any bright ideas, please? Don't really want to cough up £££££s at an electrical specialist, and otherwise the car is wonderful, so I'm happy to hear your tips for a simple fix. SOMEBODY must have met this before, but I can find no mention of it online. Thank you in advance!!

Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote?

I has a similar problem a good few years ago on a BMW E61 5 series estate. I had to replace the central locking antenna. It was located in the tailgate spoiler and cost about £20 from BMW. I’m not sure where it’s located on the V70?
