Hi, this is a message for any Techs . I have a V70 1999 and replaced the rear axel bushes. Namely the REAR CONTROL ARM/TRAILING ARM MOUNT MOUNTING BUSHES. They were replaced in August 2023. I have just noticed there is excessive wear and the bushes move. This was picked up when the rear wheel bolts are tightened when changing a tyre. It is the same both sides. How much movement should there be? If I push on the rear wheel with enough
Pressure the bushes will move. They were FEB30944 rear mount bushes .
Will this affect the wheel alignment ?
Regards Ben

Without seeing the car it is difficult to say how much is too much play. The bushes should be squishy as they are designed to introduce an element of rear wheel steering when cornering.

Febi are a well.known make and should be up to the job. Did you buy genuine Febi bushes from a reputable supplier or were they perhaps cheap knockoffs from the net. I don't mean to be rude, but there is a lot of counterfeit stuff out there.

Thanks. I will take a video and upload if I can. Yes the bushes were purchased via Garage as parts.
