D5 diesel fuel consumption
Could someone point me in the right direct with an issue I’m having with my 06 xc90 . About a month ago I started getting the “ soot filter full “ message . Here’s what I’ve found , with the MPG display in instantaneous, when I accelerate the MPG drops to around 8 MPG and stays there even when I stop accelerating or to the filter blocked message comes on , however if I lift my foot off for a second then put it back the MPG starts climbing to its usual MPG , I have not idea when it comes to diesels, so any ideas would be appreciated

I dont know if you have read this post
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/archi.../t-266805.html usually a injector plug repair kit cures this... with the movement of the injector wires going into the plug due to vibrations it wears the terminal.

Thanks Clan , I’ll look into that , would that fault explain the reluctant starting and the DPF self cleaning then blocking a gain in about 10 miles ?

Maybe but there should be a specific code about the DPF if that process is faulty. Best get your 1st fault cured first 👍
