Unlikely to ever need or even activate glow plugs with living in Portugal ? So not a pressing issue ? How good is your code reader, is it vida ?

What is the voltage on your battery first thing in the morning before starting, what is the voltage with the engine running ?

Volvo DTC ECM-B108700

Make:
Volvo
Code:
ECM-B108700
Definition:
LIN Bus "A".
Description:
Engine control module (ECM) communicates continuously with Alternator control module (ACM) and radiator temperature sensor. Communication takes place via the LIN-net. The control module checks that its own signals go out on the LIN-net. The diagnostic trouble code is stored if the control module detects: Communication is missing. The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of: Ignition on.
Cause:

Contact resistance or oxidation on connections
LIN-cable short-circuited to voltage.
LIN-cable short-circuited to ground.
Open circuit on LIN-cable.
Internal fault in another unit in the same part of the LIN network.
Damaged engine control module (ECM).

Default lin bus error

I have vida and a chinese dice. When I clear the errors the engine don't start, first scan lin bus error, second scan all errors above. Do the 2009 volvo xc60 has lin on the coolant sensor?

Problem solved. It was a failure on a connector.
