2014 V70 A/C suddenly working again
Our V70 has had problems for some years now, and been topped up by three different garages all saying there was no leak. Every time it would work for a few months, but come next spring, no cold air.
It was meant to have this "leak" checked once again next week, but I randomly turned it on yesterday and freezing cold air come out! So I'm now thinking it's a sensor, relay, switch etc, that's intermittently failing. Are there any standard culprits to look at? P.S. Compressor clutch sounds like a culprit. The problem is that as it is currently working, I can't really test that for not working. Thanks

All I can tell you is the sensor I've seen listed most in 'consumer grade' parts sites is the one which prevents the system from activating if it detects no pressure.
I do believe the system has to be evacuated to change it as it's tapped physically into a refrigerant line. Don't know the name of it. |
