I of course refused this advise and insisted on him sending me another set which did fit. I fitted these and not so long after they were knocking and were an advisory on the MOT. On insvestigation they could be removed from the rod ends with my fingertips or just fell out. I contacted him to tell him what was going on his response was somehting like, yes those red ones were the ones that shrunk, He offered me some repolacements but I decided against this and fitted superpro bushes as I should have done to begin with.

I'm aware of the offline opinion of Classicswede products and services that most people are too polite to share online. I'm aware that some people are happy with the transactions they have made, perhaps they have purchased re-sold products through the website and got lucky on the turnaround/shipping times.

I was considering fitting an an M90 I've had stored for a long while to my 240 turbo. I contacted TTV to purchase a flywheel but they told me classicswede had the contract to distribute their product in the UK and to contact him regard buying one. I decided to stick with M47 gearboxes as they work ok and I've got a couple of good spares rather than give Dai brace another penny of my hard earned money.

Perhaps it is time to stick to whatever he does as his day job or just selling coilovers and hang up the spanners (cough cough LPG) as it seems that after from what I can gather the world will be better off for it.
I had to cut a chunk out of the bushes I bought from him (couldn't see any other way to get round if no matter what the brand) and he was really helpful over WhatsApp with me and I bought a lot from him with many things turning up next day.

I think what we need to remember that this is very much a hobby based community but that doesn't mean we should put up with services advertised and costed as high quality that fall very short and potentially dangerous.

How 3 engine mount nuts can just fall off is not something that can be justified tbh - these are potentially life threatening issues.

Totally agree.

Especially since 'classicswede' has responded at length to those allegations made against him by 'Tonto77', who is also threatening to take legal action in the matter. I really have little appetite to read in the forum of a dispute between two individuals who simply happen to be members of the same. Would it not be better to let the matter rest there, before someone says something that they may later have cause to regret?

Regards, John.
You clearly don't know the history behind Dai and the number of people he has scammed.

Ask your self why Dai and "Legal action" always occur in the same posts?

Not in this case. He clearly lacks insight.

A very apt sticker for any classic swede build. The car pictured was not built by them just to be clear. Found the sticker funny. I can’t believe he’s been screwing people over for as far back as 12 to 15 years that I can find. His Facebook reviews on his page are the same. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Other than the head gasket which will be done next week the other problems are now fixed with the car. Viking Fabrications contacted me and offered to make me a gear linkage free of charge. They said that thing on mine is not allowable in any way to be on a vehicle. Great offer from them and one that I will be taking them up on.

It appears things are getting worse for them.

Speechless.

Have hamsters been chewing on it?

Is this a second hand one or new? But £400 is mental.

As I've said, I've had things arrive the next day and been good

Shame really

Not a good look for the VOC to have classicswede as a trader on here really.

He's still using JT Tuning/Martelius's pictures to sell this super high flow 2.5" system, because let's be honest, no one would buy this abomination if they could see it first.😂
