It runs fine, its just got a couple of rust issues that need sorting. Bought a pair of BRAND NEW headlights for it too.

I was up McGuinesses yesterday too! Nope, not one 240/740 or 940. Some days you go in and theres 10 of them, other times theres none. There was a 240 GLT in there recently with a good leather interior. Went back to get it- GONE! Typical.

How quick to they recycle stuff?

Thinking about just going up once a week or once every few weeks for a wonder round, see what rare and exotic stuff i can scrounge!

When the price of scrap steel is low they stockpile stuff. The yard can be full to bursting point with rarities and titbits for the avid scrapyard hunter. As soon as the price of scrap reaches a high point they just crush virtually everything and get the cash for it. Some very unusual cars are there for months so they can be fully stripped, more common cars can go to the crusher the day its bought in. As a rule they do have a very quick turnover, faster than most yards.

Any 240s in your local breakers James?

We only have 2 breakers round here. Autoreclaim in Derrington who never have much in, and Jenko's who do have the odd 2/7/9/4 series in occasionally, but their turnover of stuff is very low. They have the same stuff in there for months and never seem to shift much.

What you after? I can have a look! they had a 240 with blue interior last time i was there
