im hopefully getting a volvo s80 t6 02 reg fsh at the weekend and having never owned a volvo before i would appreciate any advice you could give me. having had a quick read of some posts, i wondered lf anyone could tell me if the cambelt change is due at 90k on this model and any info on the etm on this model, thanks.

Hi,
Have a look through here for some S80 info: Linky.... 90 is a strange number... 96 sounds better. I would not leave the cam belt that long though and would be expecting to change at 60k or there abouts intervals.. You will likely also need to change the a few other components like tentioners etc with the cam belt. Maybe include the water pump as well - better to be safe then sorry.. As for ETM - more details are in the ETM forum including all model affected by this issue. an 02 car could be MY02 or MY03 so check which MY your car is... The Bosch ETM was introduced for MY03 cars to replace the "other" one.... Des. . . ![]()
