Drifting to the left - can engine mounts effect this?
My S40 2.0T steers to the left and by 'steers' I mean that when setting off in a straight line you can visibly see the steering wheel turn to the left.
When driving nomrally, I am not having to steer round left hand bends and am constantly steering to the right to keep it in a straight line. I know already that a couple of engine mounts need replacing and in all likelihood, Brown's Autocare (recommended on this forum) will be doing those in the near future. Before I go down the route of replacing those, I would like to know if this is likely to cure the steering problem. I have been advised that if the mounts are that badly worn this could be the case. The car has been tracked several times. Any thoughts? |

A proper 4 wheel align is the first thing to do , there are other options with swapping tyres around if this fails ... But i would say the rear alignment is out on this ..

Tyres already swapped ... to no avail.
Ok, so assuming the four wheel alignment is the way forward, anyone have any recommendations for a place in S.Yorkshire? Cheers. |

Check that you have not got a suspension bush on the way out, sometimes the car is tracked to the worn bush and as the bush coninues to wear the tracking keeps going out, the condition of all of the suspension should be checked before any attempt to track the vehicle.
