Default Uprated clutch for a 740 turbo

Hi guys,

I did search but couldn't find anything, so here goes.

I use my 1987 740 (B230ET, 4 speed manual w/overdrive) for drifting as my 'fun/learning' car as it's far harder to drive than my mega power skyline. It's pretty much standard apart from cut springs (like that when i got it LOL) and a welded diff running a few psi over standard.

Now she runs like an absolute dream (well, she breaks less than my skyline haha), but recently I've noticed the clutch will slip when i transfer the drift from left to right or vice-versa in third gear. 2nd is fine, but 3rd it slips.

I could get a new standard one, but I'd rather get an uprated one and be able to give it absolute death like i do in the 'liner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Sachs do uprated ones I think but most fit the m90 gearbox from a 940 with a diesel clutch.

Mine has this and I haven't had it slip on me yet with my uprated power.

Not worried about swapping the box, unless it's going to be very cheap LOL

Does the 'box I've got suffer usually then? It's not the power that causes the clutch to suffer, but the mid-drift upshifts and clutch kicks, and it slips doing that on standard power (I've been spoilt by the skyline, over 500bhp and i can kick the clutch in third or fourth and it just locks and spins the wheels up).

Even if i did move up to an M90 'box, I'd still want an uprated clutch.

Any ideas where I should go for a decent price on one of these Sachs ones?

Thanks again.
