Default Steering under breaking

Still working away on the 850R, so far all the boost pipes have been replaced along with oil seperator, new auxillary belt, timming belt, pads front and rear, oil change and flush, coolant change and flush. No more smoke from dipstick, no oil sprayed from turbo oil feed, knocking from front end now sorted.

But, the brakes and steering! We have had the car on the brake testing machine and it is spot on, test trive on the roard and their is a slight pull getting slightly heavier above 60mph. I have now replaced the lower front poly bushes, but even this has had no effect. I am now wondering if the car has hit a pot hole hard enough to damage the wishbone or structure where the wheel alignment is no longer true. The car pulls to the near side so not to bad can only hit pedestrains who are a little softer than some of the jap cars.

Any ideas what could be causing this and would laser adjust work.

Default pulling over

Just brainstorming here so forgive the patronising suggestions.

Any history of uneven tyre wear?

Have you tested the car on a motorway where camber is less pronounced?

Tyre pressures? (Lee ducks for cover...)

Track rod ends?

Do you know anyone with a spare wishbone you could trial fit? (it might be worth it to eliminate it from your enquiries)

I had a really nice VW Polo GT with this prob and when I measured the dimensions of the front end I found that the left wheel was 3 mm further aft of the right. Got rid of car.

Hope you find a simple solution

Lee

Someone you trust with a decent set of laser tracking (4 wheel alignment) gear should be able to settle the goemetry question once and for all, when I had mine done I got a beautiful 3D pictorial print out with all the figures printed on it.
If you get this done, and everything ir right or can be adjusted right, then if the problem still persists you know it'll have to be down to bushes, trackrod ends etc etc

Uneven tyre wear: not had car long enough but tyres that are on it would indicate tyre wear ok

Motorway: nearest is about 90 miles away, have driven on dual carraigeway but did not test breaks to busy. (Car is at a garage)

Tyre pressure was good

Thanks for the suggestions, I may put new wishbones on but I think 4 wheel laser alignment is the primary way to go then go from there.
