Default Passenger one-touch up doesn't work and maybe more?

My passenger side front window quite happily descends on one-touch but will not close unless you hold the button. I tried resetting the the UEM as described in the stickie but this has not had any effect.

I then found the instructions for checking for DTCs (hold read and fog light switch twice), tried it and several modules responded "XXX DTC SET", presumably this means that there is a fault code logged and I need to go see a dealer?

Default 'one touch'

Depending on the model and year your pass front window probably does not have auto up.My '04 V70 has only auto down on the pass side.

Paul.

Default Auto up

My S60 my03, says in the manual that the auto up function is country dependant. Volvo must assume that in the UK we're not responsible enough to have the passenger auto up enabled.
I asked the dealer on it's second service to enable the auto up, but was told that it could be done on the later models, but not mine.

One of my really big gripes with Volvo, is having all these programmable features on the car, but not being allowed to alter them myself.

Seems ludicrous that there is obviously anti-pinch fitted (as that's what needs resetting if the windows bounce) but you can't have auto-up. My manual didn't appear to mention regional variation, but I may have overlooked it.

All my DTCs are now cleared But it didn't make any difference

Yeah mine too. It's not difficult to enable the user to alter features like. BMW seem to manage it quite easily for example. I'd hate to think it's just a way to extract money from the customer more.
