Default Sat-Nav System

This only came to light the other day but when you reach speeds of about 110mph that the Sat-Nav automatically recalibrates the mapping scale! And it dims when going through long tunnels etc.

It depends what scale you have the map or maps to. If I set one map to 0.1 mile then it automatically changes scale above 65-70mph.

Yes, I think you need to be doing nearer 80mph for the 0.1 scale to change, but I suppose it may differ from car to car. The screen brightness can be adjusted by the panel light dimmer, but also changes (as does the panel lights) with the ambient light level. If you have TV with the RIT, then the brightness of the TV display is set on the TV remote.
