Default S/V40 = EVO suspension

Can any one tell me which model of the EVO has the same running/suspension gear as the S/V40.

Will some of these parts fit? http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m8b0s2285p0

I was just wondering if the poly ARBs and standard drop links, in the above linky, would fit or would be better over the OEM gear? I'm thinking the links are no different...?

The uprated stuff looks interesting, drop links front and rear, but as you said we'll have to wait and see.

Cheers Spangoolies...

The front droplinks will only fit a Ph1 & the rear droplinks will only work if you have the Whiteline adjustable ARB.
The ARB bushes will fit as long as the internal diameter is the same as what ever bar your X40 has. Personaly I'd fit genuine Volvo ones as the Poly bushes on my rear ARB squeak!
Most of the E1-3 suspension components are superior to the Volvo OEM, Mitsubishi used rose joints instead of rubber bushes in alot of the rear suspension links & arms.

bushes for the anti roll bar depends on the diameter of your bar for the central bushes, the end bushes for the rear bar should be the same. demon tweeks sell uprated whiteline anti-roll bars complete with central poly bushes for our cars. the drop links depend on which year s40 you have, i cant remember which one is compatible. best to ask firebolt.....
edit: too late, he beat me to it!

Lads...ye must be sitting at the same computer

Will study all options a little closer now. Just wanted some clarity on the similarities of both the EVO and S/V40 chassis.

Cheers for that...

edit: By a millisecond Will probably go with the Volvo ARBs.

Yeah like that, they are fitted into the outer end of the rear lower control arms & into the toe & camber arms (dog bones) instead of a rubber bush.

My anti roll bar droplinks are like this:

I have these adjustable camber arms for my V40.

This is pretty much the Evo rear suspension setup
