>Sorry Dan but it's the law.....

Even so, it doesn't change the fact that not everyone cares about such things. Personally I do, but not everyone does. Also don't apologise, I am just looking at things from a different angle. :) Dan. |

RE: My view on the 304bhp rica map
My views are that of dans, and i reckon most others aswell.
im gonna reminisce now, as soon as i came accross the line at santa pod with a 14.5 sec 1/4 mile i knew that i wanted the rica 304 map. the feeling was amazing and more than i ever expected which is why i put of getting one for so long while others around me did. when i bought my ecu i bought that performance i had experienced, i didnt car less if my car was only making 270. Iain, Im not sure where your gripe is with rica's claims, i only pursued this issue of rica's claims just for the fun really and to find the truth which im happy with. fair enough when i got my ecu power figures wernt discussed by vt, but i knew what i was buying and that was errelivant. even if adam says to all his customers: """"the 304bhp figure was obtained from a new t5 when rica originally developed the software. so this figure is really the max power you will achieve. what you will actually get will be down to the condition of your car, but the more maintainence you do the closer you will get to the 304bhp. if your car is slightly tired or you do not want to replace evrything why dont you consider the 280bhp map?"""" im sure all of them would say, well thats common sense and still hand over the dosh and drive off happy, like i did. Im sure you find the above is what is told to vt customers, plus they all get a test drive so the number dont mean much.

Perhaps it's true that 'you pays your money and takes yer chance'.
But it'd be nice to have seen more power for my £1*** though ! Chris ________________________________________________ http://chriswhiteuk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/sava.jpg with a few go faster modifications . . http://chriswhiteuk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk |
