Be careful spending money on the air con as the chances are it probably still runs on R12 gas unless it's been converted, which is expensive, and R12 is illegal to use now. Modern systems use R134a gas which isn't a direct replacement for R12 and the system would need to be modified to take this R134a gas. I have heard of a substitute gas which can be used in place of the original R12 but not sure if that is true and how much it costs for a re-gas.

There is an R12 equivalent, its a lot better, make sure you ask when you ring them and tell them its an r12 system DONT LET THEM PUT 134 a INTO IT!
