Admittedly I haven't - only the consequences of being smashed head-on by another vehicle, travelling at speed along a narrow shaded country road, whose driver has failed to recognise the presence of an oncoming car and adjust road position and speed accordingly.

Countries such as Denmark, Norway and Sweden all have a reputation for being environmentally aware, yet it is a law for all vehicles in those countries to have daylight running lights.

If the Scandinavian countries are so environmentally aware, why do they make cars that are less energy efficient than my 1988 240 with a 4 speed box and carb?.
If the fictional car travelling along the fictional country road can't see my 240 brick coming without my headlights on in sunny weather then an awful lot of people in your area need eye tests asap.
What about the tinted window brigade and driving in sunglasses?is that why you say we should all drive around with headlights on.
Another thing is why do cars with drl's on still have accidents?
Most cop cars don't have drl's but I bet you can see one of them coming.

1988 240 with drl fuse removed
1998 V40 with drl wire cut
30+ years of driving
accidents one (slight dent in sill)
Kamikaze attacks on my none drl vehicles NILL

another food for thought is,our wonderful police could I suppose knick you in broad daylight for having a bulb out.
As far as I know the law is that if you a vehicle with lights fitted then they must be all working and no mention of after lighting up time.
