New V40 owner - boot liner advice...
Hi all,
I've just bought an 04 V40 Sport 1.9 Diesel (Picking it up next Sat). Very impressed with the car but I need to know where I can get a quality boot liner without paying silly money. I need it as I have an 8 stone Bull Mastiff. It only needs to cover the floor of the boot and I would like one that is specifically made to fit the V40 - possibly some sort of molded plastic? I've looked on the volvo web site but they seem to have removed the V40 model from the accessories page (unless i missed it!). Also - if anyone's got any advice for a new owner, please feel free to guide me with your knowledge..... Thanks in anticipation.. Nathan |

I use one of the throw away bags that sand is delivered in by the ton.
It is almost watertight and is ideal for trips to the tip as when the dumping is finished you can take the bag out and shake any bits out of it. As for use with a dog, then you could give it a try. |

I have volvo boot liner in my S40 I think it cost £80.
Have a look at www.roofbox.co.uk they have several types that may be more suitable. Speedyreedy S40 GDi |

Look on ebay. I have seen a few along with the Volvo dog guards.
I had a Halfords dog guard, the my dog always seemed to be able to get past it. The Volvo one is like a prison door. Dave |

Hi,
Costco sell a boot liner which fits the V40 boor perfectly and costs under £15. It's made of rubber and has a gripping texture to save loose items moving about. Paul |
