57 reg Volvo s80

Hi
I am a new member and i am wundering if any one can help. Myself and 2 of my work collegues have bought new volvo s80s 2.4d 57 reg.from our local dealer. We have had a few problems.
1. When we picked our cars up they where filled with too much oil, this was drained by Volvo but could this cause any more damage? When the car was in the crank shaft oil seals where replaced on warrenty, along with a gromit for the air conditioning.
2. When i start my car sometimes the display on dash does not come on resulting in the car running lumpy. When i turn it off and back on it is ok?
3. The cars seem to be using alott of oil, for every 1000 miles i am using a litre of oil is this correct?
