Thumbs up battery life

a short while ago i posted a ??? about my battery on a d5 v70 car stands fairly long periods more so in winter and battery seems to lose charge any way had various bits of advice and opinions so took battery off car fully charged it 13.5volts then left it for 14 days on bench & monitored voltage each day for 14 days over the 14 days it dropped to 12.v40 having lost on average 1 2 or 3 tenths of a volt each day so i have assumed battery is okay, on replacing battery car started immediately i suppose this just means your supposed to use em a bit more so ill put off aquiring a new battery for now can always stick a trickle charge on it occasionly re other advise on reconnecting battery to car ie key in position 2 had no problemns and everything worked many thanks to all who replied to my original queries alan
