Default Door Mirror

Managed to clout the nearside door mirror the other day. It's cracked the black plastic surround, but I can probably live with this seeing how much a replacement unit is. However the coloured plastic cover came off, snapping the 'lugs' off that hold it in place.

Anyone know how expensive it is to source one of these from a dealer in the right colour, or a cheaper alternative option?

It's a 2005 V70 in red with the electric foldy mirrors and puddle light, but not with the repeat indicator. .

I had the same problem when some prat in a toy truck tried to take my mirror off whilst I was parked. If I remember correctly the mirror cover is £35 in primer.
If it is only the lugs that are broken and the cover is usable then a copious blob of silicon sealer on the inside of the cover will hold it in place. Mines held like that for 12 months now and is still very secure.
Good luck

Thanks, the cover is unmarked so I'll try the silicon sealant trick - it's held on currently with a bit of duck-tape!

A year or so ago, a ready painted replacement cost me around £75.00 from a Volvo dealer!
