Default Front Parking Sensors - XC90

Hello all,

I looked on this thread and saw they were talking about the Parking Dynamics electromagnetic sensor which I am thinking about fitting: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...arking+sensors

Has anybody tried fitting these to the XC90. How well do they work and how easy/dificult is it to remove the front bumper for the XC90 and fit the wiring through the bulkhead?

Alternatively, has anybody recommendations for XC90 front sensors and fitters. What sort of costs?

I was tempted in getting the front park assist fitted at my first service. The best price I got quoted by Volvo was £475 - so I'm not so keen now!! I looked at after market versions to self install but have been told that front bumper removal etc was not all that easy and I didn't fancy drilling the bumper either as it is a new car. Will be interested to see what you find out about this!

Hello

I, like Mangoose, would love to know how difficult it is to remove and refit the front bumper on an XC90. An exploded diagram of the fixings etc would be perfect.

Not drilling holes to fit these electromagnetic parking sensors is a very attractive feature. I'll be fine with the electrical work to fit the parking sensor system, but worry in case there are lots of accessories I might break that are connected to the bumper [foglights, vehicle sensors, pipes, etc] or the bumper not aligning properly when refitted.

Look forward to your feedback.

Gue4, I have some PDF's with fitting instructions, but forum doesn't allow me to attach pdf's.
If you PM me with your email address I will email them to you
