Default Mice in the glove box....

Not real ones, but sound-a-likes!

Does anyone out there know how to stop the glovebox from squeaking? It doesn't do it all the time, and if I open then close it, it stops for a while...

AND - with the sunroof open, if I go over 55 there is a bit of trim on the inside of the roof (car side rather than glass) that flaps about a lot. Can it be tightened??

On mine, the mouse turned out to be te spring return thingy on the glovebox light switch. I gave it a spray of something, a dab of grease should suffice. Peace now restored!

Not sure which bit of roof trim you are referring too - I have a strip that keeps coming away, just a bit of glue is needed for that.

Thanks Paul, I'll get the grease out tonight and give it a go...

(Don't suppose you know how to get squirrels out of attics?)

Paul,

Thanks - it worked!

Couldn't really see if I had managed to get it onto the spring, but must have been close enough.

Also, the flapping in the sunroof was the rubber seal around the bottom of the roof edge, that I just tucked back in, only to have the plastic edging of the 'spoiler' that comes up with the roof tilted, fall off and land on my head. So that has been glued back on too.

Thanks again,

Andrew.
