Question A/C dash switch bulb?

Standard system 1234 not climate control.

If the A/C switch bulb has blown would that render the whole A/C system inoperative ie is the circuit broken ?

LOL...thats called clutching at straws im afraid....
Most probably reason for non working due to lack of gas....You will have to get it looked at, i would not be tempted by quick fix airarsoles...
Cheers

Believe it or not but it appears to be true, i have this morning had the heater panel apart and had the switches apart and bypassed that bulb and my A/C is now working, it seems that if that little bulb blows it breaks the circuit out from the switch.

I think i`ll replace the standard bulb with a semiconductor LED as used in the recirculate switch light.

I will take your advice on this....However i am astounded the bulb can effect the switches operation..

You and me both, as that bulb is not a replaceable item , it is soldiered onto the board inside the switch its self, yet the recirculate switch light use`s a semiconductor LED , cant see why a LED was not used for both ? as a bulb as a limited life span , and power seems to travel out from the switch through the bulb before it reaches the board therefore if that bulb as blown not power can reach the board and therefore the relay ?
