I get about 25mpg from my 240SE Estate with the 2.3i engine and 5 speed box.

This is mostly town driving and I do have a heavy right foot. On longer runs I might stretch to 27mpg.

I fill up every 250 miles as my car does not have a fuel warning light - not sure if this is normal on that model.

Well, I for one have not seen a fuel warning light on a 200 series to date. So yup, reckon it's normal

I probably get a lot less but then I did remve the bulb on the dash saying lambda fault which refused to go outwhen I first got the car.Well I always meant to fix it but it always passes the MOT and runs extremely well for a 2.0l auto, even when fully laden(two grown up children the wife two labradors boot full and a 1600kg twin axle 21foot caravan.

Probably just needs a new lambda sensor?
If it aint broke why fix it lol.
Brian.

L.O.L it is only a screw in sensor with a couple of spade connectors..would it not be worth you doing it,think of all that fuel you will save??
