Default v40 1.9 T4 boost control solenoid WANTED

Hi guys and dolls, I am after a bcs for my 1998 p1 v40 1.9 T4. Just trying to eliminate some of the "know problem parts" as my T4 isnt boosting properly. Would also like to try a MAF for the same. Willing to pay good prices.

you could try a mbc if you have a boost gauge fitted(if you cant get your hands on a bcs)

i know what you mean mate, the mbc is a doddle to fit but without a gauge you could be asking for trouble, saying that, gauges are not hard to install and it could help you see exactly what boost(if any) you are getting, just a thought ive got a maf that i bought for my old t4 when i was trying to sort out a few probs with that,i put it on and it made no diffrence what so ever so i took it back off again,it was only a cheapo one but your welcome to it if you cant get an original

Did your old T4 have a maf problem that you knew about or were you just (like me) changing it to see if it was the maf that was faulty (if that makes any sense?). I would just like to try and at least eliminate it.

on mine it was more of a starting prob, used to crank for 5 or 6seconds before coming to life(was the fpr) and it was holding back slightly when you kicked the nuts off it,cured with a new fuel pump. i went down the change as many things as i could route but it was good experience!

keep the faith mate! once you get it running right you will love it,i had a bit of a clart on with my t4 when i first got it but eventually it was spot on an went like a rocket. i would really be thinkin about a gauge, even temporary, loads of guides on fitting knocking about an if i can do it anybody can.
