Default Light left on buzzer

Just a general wondering.... is the V40 supposed to have a buzzer if you leave the side lights on when opening the door?? Accidentally left them on at the weekend... only for a few minutes so ok, but thought, ooohh is that right!

The s/v40 do not have a lights left on buzzer fitted, there has been a few threads relating to this and the simple answer is the sidelights are for use as parking lights, these cars have drls fitted as standard and unless you have a phase 2 v40 they cannot be turned off without going to the main dealers to have the software altered.

DRL's simply come on as in dipped beam and sidelight's the second you turn the key, switching the DRL's off allows you to have your lights controlled merely by the knob, Pos1 is off, Pos2 sidelights only, Pos3 dipped.
