looking at a local volvo
it is advertised as spares or repair it is said that theres no electric to the coil if this was the only problem would it be easy to repair and what would be involved and a ruff cost cheers to everyone that has helped me on this site its ACE

Not too sure but does a faulty fuel relay cut the coil feed guys?

The fuel pump relay doesn't effect the coil.
It's possibly the crankshaft position sensor. If that fails, you won't get a spark. You could check the condition of the lead from the sensor (bolted on-top of the bell-housing). When the outer insulation of the lead breaks down, the timing signal is disrupted. The sensor is about £30 and takes 5 minutes to fit.
