t reg volvo dash question

alright guys got volvo s40 had look through manual cant find anything just bellow my temp gauge looks like it should be telling me temp and other things but its just blank how do i fix this cheers in advance newbie so go easy lol

thats for the optional trip computer display if you have it ..

sorry been away cpl of days i take it i dont have it is it usefull to me in any way or just a wee add on cheers again for ur reply

the computer dose the temp mpg outside temp etc you should have a littlke dial by the headunit to change the display to what you want to view
